My recipes aren't syncing between devices

Vesper syncs through your private iCloud account. Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account and that iCloud Drive is enabled in Settings. Sync is automatic but can take a few minutes after a change.

I deleted a built-in recipe or ingredient — can I get it back?

Yes. Open Settings (the gear icon on the Recipes tab) and tap Restore Built-In Content. Everything that shipped with the app comes back; your own recipes and edits are untouched.

What does "My Bar" show?

Mark ingredients as On Hand in your catalog, then open My Bar from the Recipes tab. "Ready to Pour" lists recipes you can make right now, and "One Away" lists recipes missing exactly one ingredient.

Does Vesper need an account or internet connection?

No account, and no connection required — the full recipe library works offline. iCloud is only used, optionally, to back up and sync your changes.
